At the academy, the focus is on the learning process. We refer to our students as future professionals, because they are well on their way to becoming successful professionals in this amazing industry. Future professionals, at the academy, learn in a state of the art facility and are experience client situations that emulate a professional spa. Our well-trained and successful learning leaders guide, mentor, and coach our future professionals throughout the education process. Our goal is for you as a future professional to master skills that will enable you to become successful at providing excellent skin care treatments. the academy at austin is partnered with Dermalogica to provide an intense, thorough, and advanced education. Our training includes comprehensive instruction and practical experience in facial treatments, anatomy of the skin, care of clients, sanitation, chemistry, machines and related equipment, hair removal, color psychology and makeup, and business ethics. The curriculum also stresses quality customer service, personal motivation and development, positive attitude, state laws and regulations, spa administration and job interviewing. The opportunity to certify in microdermabrasion and body wraps is also available. We offer both day and night classes and are limited to 10 per start date.

Our full time day program takes a mere 6 months to complete. We limit each start date to a maximum of 10 future professionals to provide a quality education. Please see Admissions to reserve your space in the class of your choice today. A full time day program is available at this time.
The full time day program meets Tuesday through Saturday 9:30am to 5:00pm. This is approximately 35 hours a week and allows you the opportunity to complete the course in a short 5 ½ months.
